Anyone interested in joining Jeannie to knit chemo caps may stop by the shop and pick up a pattern. The shop will have some donated yarns on hand if you have the time, but not the extra funds for this project. We are asking that the hats be returned to the shop and we will take them to the Northwest Hospital Center.
The first and third Wednesday 11-1 Christine will pick some of her favorite projects to try. This is not a structured class, but an opportunity to knit and learn together. Please see the class schedule for each months project.
Anyone who loves to spin will certainly enjoy the company of these ladies. They have group details on Ravelry.com
“http://www.ravelry.com/groups/sykesville-spinners” you can contact them for more information.
We encourage and accept donations of knit or crocheted small and medium pet blankets (that can be machine washed and dried) that will be given to
“The Animal Welfare Society of Howard County” www.howardcountypets.org, “Small Miracles Cat Rescue.”

It is sad news for us that knew Ms. Shelly, the owner of the Animal Welfare Society of Howard County. Shelly passed away earlier in May, 2009, from cancer. Shelly has made a great difference for so many abandoned pets. It was her passion to rescue, care for and adopt out these unwanted pets. If any of you would like to send a card to her daughter Robin, or a donation to the Animal Welfare Society of Howard County, I'm sure it would be appreciated. To our friend Shelly Deltuva, you will be greatly missed.
Please feel free to come by the shop to talk to Debora about how you can help, and to get additional information about the Animal Welfare Society, Operation Christmas Child, and Small Miracles Cat Rescue.
